Duke of Edinburgh Program

KRB is proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award as part of the IGNITE Co-curricular Program. The Framework supports the School’s commitment to providing a holistic education that nurtures each student’s personal, social and emotional development.

Guided by the Five Goals of the Sacred Heart, participation in the Award Framework encourages students to build confidence, resilience and independence, while developing a strong sense of responsibility and service to others. Through sustained involvement in volunteering, physical recreation, skill development and Adventurous Journeys, students are supported to discover their strengths, pursue their interests and contribute positively to their community.

The Framework provides a recognised and flexible pathway that complements students’ academic learning, helping them develop lifelong skills and values while living out the School’s motto, Cor Unum.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a globally recognised youth development program that empowers students to challenge themselves, develop new skills and contribute to their community. Through the Framework, students set personal goals and participate in activities across volunteering, physical recreation, skill development and adventurous journeys. The program supports students to build confidence, resilience and independence while recognising their sustained commitment and personal growth.
