A World-Class Education for Years 7–12
At Kincoppal-Rose Bay, learning is designed to inspire curiosity, challenge thinking and prepare young women to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our academic programme combines the rigour of the NSW curriculum with the global perspective of Cambridge International Education, creating a distinctive learning experience that develops confident, capable and internationally minded graduates.
In Years 7–10, students experience a broad and engaging curriculum that builds strong foundations across English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Languages, Creative Arts, Technologies, PDHPE and Religious Education. As they progress through the Senior School, students are encouraged to explore their interests, discover their strengths and develop the skills needed for success at school, university and beyond.
A defining feature of a KRB education is the opportunity to extend learning through our Cambridge International programme in Years 9 and 10. Students may choose from a range of Cambridge electives that foster intellectual challenge, independent inquiry and global perspectives. In Years 11 and 12, students benefit from extensive academic choice and personalised pathways. Alongside the Higher School Certificate (HSC), KRB will from 2028 offer Cambridge International qualifications that provide additional opportunities for academic extension and international recognition. Students will undertake either the NSW HSC or Cambridge International A Levels, one of the world’s most respected pre-university qualifications. Recognised by leading universities across Australia and internationally, A Levels offer students greater flexibility to pursue specialised areas of study and prepare for competitive tertiary pathways.

Wellbeing at the centre
SELF+ is our evidence-informed age-appropriate wellbeing program, grounded in the principles of Positive Education and designed to help students flourish both in and beyond the classroom. Through a carefully sequenced curriculum, girls develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to build resilience, nurture healthy relationships, strengthen emotional intelligence and make positive choices in an increasingly complex world. The “plus” reflects our commitment to educating the whole person, supporting each student’s social, emotional, physical, spiritual and academic growth. By combining wellbeing science with the values of the Sacred Heart tradition, SELF+ helps girls develop the habits and mindset to lead healthy, balanced and purposeful lives.
Our approach to student wellbeing in the Senior School is through a system of year co-ordinators and mentor groups. The SELF+ curriculum is explicitly taught once per fortnight, and key staff are responsible for oversight of student wellbeing both in the boarding and day school. Kincoppal-Rose Bay is a leader in girls’ wellbeing, and our programmes are constantly updated in our rapidly changing world.
Technology, Wellbeing and Responsible Use
At Kincoppal-Rose Bay, we believe technology should enhance learning, relationships and wellbeing, not distract from them. Our approach balances the opportunities of technology with the importance of face-to-face connection, focused learning and healthy digital habits.
Mobile phones are prohibited from gate to gate, allowing students to be fully present in their learning, friendships and school life throughout the day. We ask that parents only supply a ‘dumb phone’ to their daughters in Years 7 and 8. Boarders have strict times where mobile technology may be used and not used.
We also embrace Technology-Free Thursdays, creating dedicated opportunities for students to connect, collaborate and engage without digital devices. Through our comprehensive digital citizenship and eSafety programme, students learn to navigate the online world safely, ethically and responsibly.
Guided by clear expectations around responsible technology use, we empower young women to become confident, discerning and respectful digital citizens who can harness technology positively and purposefully in a rapidly changing world.
Outdoor challenge and Service Learning
Outdoor education is embedded in the Senior School, giving students meaningful opportunities to step beyond their comfort zones, meet physical challenges and build confidence through achievement. Students in Years 7 and 8 participate in a three-day camp, while Year 9 students undertake KRB BEYOND, an immersive three-week Outward Bound experience where all students begin completion of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
All Kincoppal-Rose Bay students are encouraged to look beyond their own circumstances and develop an awareness for those around them. Service Learning opportunities occur throughout the Senior School in order to develop young women who are outward looking, compassionate and generous of spirit.

At KRB, compulsory sport is an essential part of a balanced education. Every girl benefits from being active, working with others and challenging herself—regardless of her ability or experience.
Confidence, resilience and wellbeing
Learning new skills, facing setbacks and celebrating progress build courage, perseverance and self-belief. Regular physical activity also supports physical and mental wellbeing, healthy routines and balance during busy academic periods.

We call our co-curricular program IGNITE because it is designed to spark curiosity, confidence and purpose in every student.

IGNITE encourages students to challenge themselves, embrace new opportunities and find the activities that inspire them.

Global Experiences
The world is part of the KRB classroom.
As a member of the global Sacred Heart family, KRB students belong to an international network of more than 150 Sacred Heart schools across 41 countries. This unique connection opens the door to extraordinary opportunities for travel, cultural exchange, service and learning that extend far beyond Sydney.
From Year 8, students can participate in exchange programs with Sacred Heart schools throughout Australia and New Zealand. From Year 10, they can explore international exchange opportunities, living and learning alongside students in Sacred Heart schools around the world. These experiences build independence, confidence and lifelong friendships while helping girls develop a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
