About Our School

For more than 138 years, Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart has been educating the hearts and minds of our students, preparing them for lives of courage and confidence.

KRB is a leading Catholic independent school and part of the international network of Sacred Heart Schools. We are located in Rose Bay in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour. Our school caters for boys (ELC-6) and girls day (ELC-12) and boarding (Years 7-12).

We use education to help each individual discover their purpose while cultivating their talents and passions. Importantly, we foster a commitment to service as global citizens of the world.

As a community we recognise and honour our rich history and tradition. However, we are contemporary and forward-thinking in our educational philosophy, employing the latest technologies, techniques and projects in the classroom. We provide our students with access to the latest thinking, concepts and practice in the broader world. Our initiatives include the, ‘Young Entrepreneurs Week’, ‘City Immersion’ and ‘Philanthropy Program’.

Our focus is on the positive education of the whole student – educating both the Heart and the Mind as the School’s motto ‘Cor Unum’ suggests. We encourage our students to pursue their personal strengths, passions and talents; become independent, lifelong learners; develop empathy with others; and feel secure in their world with the belief that they have the capacity to transform it.

At Kincoppal-Rose Bay we are small enough for each student to be well known and supported, but large enough to offer the widest possible opportunities.

We celebrate the richness of a school community that is global in nature.

Our academic and co-curricular programs promote global awareness and social responsibility, with students encouraged to become alert to the world beyond their own lives and to act where the need exists.

Kincoppal-Rose Bay is a school with a strong spirit and an even stronger heart that remains committed to developing young men and women of integrity and compassion, who are equipped with a lifelong love of learning.

Principal's Welcome

Principal's Welcome

I warmly welcome you to Kincoppal-Rose Bay, School of the Sacred Heart.

Our school educates boys and girls from 3 years of age to the end of Year 6.  From Year 7 to Year 12, we educate young women, offering day and boarding places.

The beautiful harbour at Rose Bay is a serene backdrop to the learning, development and adventure that takes place within our school every day. For our youngest students in the Early Learning Centre, our unique campus allows them to experience the joy of nature through their Wild Time program. For our Boarders, KRB is a home away from home where they can relax and unwind. Each student in our school is valued and we hope they all find that our campus is a place of endeavor, growth and connection. Our corridors are always filled with the sound of laughter from students who have a thirst for greater knowledge and inquiry, and an obvious desire to do more, and be more.
