Global Opportunities
Developing global leaders of the future
As a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart, Kincoppal‐Rose Bay is part of an international network that includes 150 schools in over 40 countries.
This provides KRB students a unique opportunity to participate in a range of activities and connect with students in other parts of the world.
Global Education
Our commitment to global education shapes our students into empathetic, resilient and culturally intelligent global citizens, who are empowered to make a positive contribution to this ever-changing world.
One way we support students in developing global citizenship skills is through our Ignite Co‑Curricular global learning experiences. These include exchanges, First Nations immersion programs, study tours, and service learning opportunities.

Exchanges
Our Exchange Programs provide students in Years 8 to 11 with meaningful opportunities to develop global citizenship through connection, collaboration, and cultural immersion through our unique global Sacred Heart network. Students can participate in three exchange pathways: Domestic Exchange, Virtual Collaboration Program, or International Exchange.
Domestic Exchanges offer students the opportunity to spend one week at our Sacred Heart schools in Brisbane, Melbourne or Auckland, experiencing school life in a different setting while building independence and new friendships.
The Virtual Collaboration Program, available to Year 8 and 9 students, is a student‑led six‑month global exchange connecting KRB students with peers from Stuartholme (Brisbane), Sacré Cœur (Melbourne), Baradene (New Zealand), and partner schools in Japan and Taiwan. Through regular online meetings, students build relationships, explore global issues, and collaborate on solutions informed by the Sacred Heart Goals, developing intercultural understanding and global awareness at both a local and international level.
International Exchanges allow students to spend up to three weeks at a Sacred Heart school overseas. Students live with host families, experience another Sacred Heart community, and participate in a reciprocal exchange by later hosting their international sisters at KRB. Destinations include Austria, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, the USA, New Zealand, and other Australian states.
Service Learning
Hands‑on global learning experiences empower students to become agents of change through meaningful service and cultural immersion.
Experiences such as the Cambodia Service and Cultural Immersion and the Sacred Heart India Immersion enable students to work alongside local communities and Sacred Heart partners, deepening their understanding of culture and social justice issues while fostering empathy, reflection and global citizenship.
First Nations Immersion Programs
Arnhem Land (Year 10) and Bowraville (Year 11) aim to deepen understanding of our First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives.
KRB offers two programs in this area, our Arnhem Land Cultural Immersion (Year 10) and Bowraville Service Immersion (Year 11).
Students are immersed and learn from the traditional custodians of the land to help share and educate the younger generation on the deep wisdom held in this 80,000+ year old culture.
Study Tours and Global Learning
Study Tours vary each year and form part of our broader commitment to expanding students’ worldviews through immersive global learning experiences.
These programs combine academic learning with real‑world engagement, offering opportunities to visit organisations, cultural sites, and industry locations that strengthen knowledge, build global perspectives, and deepen understanding of international contexts.
Opportunities such as the Oxford Royale Program enable students to pursue their academic interests at the world‑renowned Oxford University alongside peers from around the globe.
