SELF + Wellbeing Framework

Our Wellbeing Framework, SELF + (Social Emotional Learning to Flourish), has been uniquely developed to meet the needs of all KRB students as they progress through the school from our Early Learning Centre to Year 12. It is informed by the science of positive psychology underpinned by an understanding of the Five Goals of the Sacred Heart.

Positive Education is a concept that underpins the educational experience of all students at KRB. Positive Education is defined as the combination of traditional education principles with the study of happiness and wellbeing (Seligman, 2011). Applying the key tenets of Positive Education, known as PERMAH (Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment and Health) is crucial to developing the wellbeing of students. The KRB Student Wellbeing framework applies these by ensuring each individual develops social, emotional, and learning skills in order to flourish.
