Alexx Stuart – Alumna Author

Since 2010, Alexx Stuart (Swainston 1993) has been supporting people in navigating everything from allergy-friendly diets, to environmental toxins, to stress and the impact our everyday choices have on the planet, through her online education platform, Low Tox Life with courses, a top-ranked podcast, keynote speaking and workshops. In 2018 she released her debut book, “Low Tox Life”, now published in French and Spanish, outlining the many simple changes we can make across food, body, home and mind for a healthier people and planet. Packed with lists, tips and non-daunting explanations of how to make the many simple changes that make a huge difference.   Read on, for information on Alexx’s second book – Low Tox Life FOOD.

Alexx’s book, Low Tox Life FOOD, tackles the confusing topic of food in a time of human-influenced climate change. Alexx, a gentle activist, always looking for ways we can come together to move forward, rather than continually bicker over the details, has helped people focus on the three biggest ways they can make a difference from their plates, for the planet – whatever type of eating works best for you. No one is singled out or put on a pedestal as eating “good or bad” for the planet – after a decade of research in this area, Alexx shares that it’s not so much about what the food is, but more how it’s grown/raised, how much it’s processed, and if we manage to use it all and prevent it from going to landfill. It’s a book of hope, packed with practical tips, lists, brainstorms of what you can do with various ingredients, and – despite having over 80 recipes among its 300 pages – it’s a book to help you break up with “recipe slavery”.
