The SCA have had a busy start to the year. We have hosted several events and have many more planned for the remainder of the year.
The SCA was pleased to be able to facilitate a fund raiser just before Easter this year. We held a Hot Cross Bun Stall across the school. With the help of the students and staff, we were able to make a donation to Caritas Australia who work with the most marginalised communities in Australia and overseas.
On Thursday 28th March the SCA was delighted to welcome our Classes of 2021, 2022 & 2023 to The Royal Oak in Double Bay for drinks and a catch up. It was lovely to see the girls and hear what they have all been up to since leaving KRB. It is important to us that our newest Alumnae know that they will always be an important part of our community and that the bonds of friendship they forged at school will only get stronger as the years roll on, no matter where they go or what they do.
Our Annual Memorial Mass on Sunday 26th May was a beautiful celebration of love, life and our community. Our Chapel is at its most magnificent when full of people, music and song. The mass was so beautiful and moving, it is a privilege to be able to gather together to remember our loved ones. We extend our sincere thanks to Father Martin Maunsell, Esmey Herscovitch RSCJ, Mark Stubley, Kurt Ison, Josie Ryan and all those who helped prepare the mass.
This year I will be supported by Vice President, Sarah Mullan (Smith, 1988) who has been a member of the committee for several years. Also new to our committee this year is Maryanne Doman (Ward, 1986) and Charlotte Norfolk.
